It was a long time coming, dear friends, like literally twenty years.
I started writing after most of the major events in the book had already unfolded and continued to add to it for several years. Back in 2007, I had a really good finished product called, “Queen Kingpin” that made the rounds through my New York city literary agent to no avail, despite a comprehensive and well-received synopsis and an excellent critique.
For whatever reason, I began to restore and rewrite the book a couple of months prior to this and this is the actual date I published the first edition on Amazon, as the Kindle edition. I also published it under a pen name, Melinda True Powers, but just the next day, I was working on the paperback edition and I published that on Amazon in my real name, Linda P. Taylor.
So I went ahead and reissued the Kindle book as me too. The reasoning was really about my day job, people not finding out about my past life, but in reality, I could care less about what anyone thinks, so like self-publishing, being me was a no-brainer. It’s not like the book is on the bestseller list or anything! That’s a good one.
But its a compelling well-written adventure, so ride along with me - if you dare!

But what is meant to be will be and what is not will not be. Indeed, nothing happened at all with the manuscript and other personal circumstances led me to essentially abandon the entire thing. I almost deleted everything, but at the last second decided that I might want to come back to it at some point in the future.
But I did completely GUT the book of what it had become (more on that in the next book) before I saved it as the bare bones of my story.
I am presently writing the follow up to Outlaw Torn, working title being Outlaw Yogi… Stay tuned for more info on that as it happens.
